Important: FinanSnap does NOT collect, track, or store any personal financial data. All your financial information is securely stored in your own iCloud account and remains completely private to you.

1. Financial Data Privacy

FinanSnap does not collect any personal financial data whatsoever. This includes, but is not limited to:

Bank account information
Transaction details
Account balances
Credit card information
Payment history
Income or expense information

All your financial data is stored exclusively in your personal iCloud account using iCloud CloudKit, and only you have access to it.

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect any personal or identifiable user data. The only information collected is:

Anonymous Analytics Events: Non-identifiable usage statistics such as feature usage and session duration to improve the App's performance and user experience.
Anonymous Error Report Data: Collected automatically when the App encounters a crash or error, to diagnose and resolve issues.

All data collected is completely anonymous and cannot identify individual users. No financial information is ever included in analytics or error reports.

3. AI Assistant Feature

FinanSnap offers an optional Financial AI Assistant feature. Important information about this feature:

User-Provided API Key: To use the AI assistant, you must provide your own API key from a supported AI provider. FinanSnap does not provide or control this service.
Data Exposure: When you ask questions to the AI assistant, FinanSnap attempts to limit the financial data exposed to the AI provider. However, some financial information may need to be sent to the AI provider to answer your questions.
No Guarantee: FinanSnap cannot guarantee complete data privacy when using the AI assistant feature, as the data is processed by third-party AI providers according to their own privacy policies.
Optional Feature: The AI assistant is completely optional. You can use FinanSnap's full functionality without ever enabling this feature.

4. How Information is Used

The anonymous analytics and error data collected is used solely to:

Improve the App's functionality and user experience.
Identify and resolve technical issues.
Maintain app health and stability.

We do not sell, share, or disclose this data to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Security

Your financial data is securely stored using iCloud CloudKit services in your personal iCloud account. CloudKit adheres to strict security protocols to safeguard data against unauthorized access.

However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of data transmissions or storage.

6. Third-Party Services

This App may use third-party services for:

Anonymous analytics (e.g., Google Firebase).
Anonymous error reporting (e.g., Crashlytics).
AI processing (optional feature, requires your own API key).

These third parties may process anonymous data according to their privacy policies. When using the AI assistant feature, your queries and related financial data are subject to the AI provider's privacy policy.

7. In-App Purchases

The App may offer premium features through in-app purchases. Payment and billing information are handled directly by the app store platform (e.g., Apple App Store) and are subject to their terms and privacy policies. FinanSnap does not collect or store any payment information.

8. Children's Privacy

FinanSnap does not knowingly collect any data from children under the age of 13. The App is not intended for use by children.

9. Updates to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
